The images I chose where the ones that stood out to me the most. The first one is of my dog I tried to take an action shot of him. Spinone's are hunters and pointers by breed so in the first photo I like to think in his mind hes stalking his prey.
In this second one from a different point of view shows his softer side. After he has been in the freezing weather and snow all day this is the look he gives me when I ask him to come inside.
Some times I think he wish's he was born a polar bear.
He is so cute, I get that same look from my sons when it's time to come in. I love the way you can see the snow moving in the first photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment what is your strategy for getting them inside. He makes me feel so guilty when I ask him to come in.
ReplyDeleteHe looks so focused on something in that first one, and absolutely sweet in that guilt-trip sort of way in the second.
ReplyDeleteYeah some how he knows I'll fold.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I like how you captured the movement of the snow in the first shot. How big is he?
ReplyDeleteThese photos are great! I love both of them! I love the snow "movement" in the first and it's so cute how your dog has snow around his nose in the second. I am an animal lover and have a dog as well and these photos are right up my alley! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI know just what you mean about the "look", John... this is Ruben .. also Italian Spinone http://goo.gl/bfwji ... the same
ReplyDeleteMostly, to get mine to come in, I end up having to say .. "do you want a biscuit?", which works all the time ;O) ~ you have to dish out the biscuit of course ;O)
What's your dogs name he is gorgeous x
I like composition of the first image,it's a tiny bit blurred, (like my image here ... http://goo.gl/bT4gb) it's a bit disappointing when that happens.
However if you set your camera on TV mode and try a faster shutter speed (something around 1/250 or 1/500) that will freeze the action a little more. If you want to blur the background you can try moving the camera at the same speed as the dog.
Love the comment "he was born a polar bear", beautiful image John. Just gorgeous x
The blog looks lovely and clean x mine is a mad mishmash of all the things i find relating to photography (well mostly...) http://heidiannemorris.tumblr.com/
see you on Facebook ! Keep up the great work x
All my best Heidi x
He's 80 pounds looks a little bit smaller I guess from the photo's. But his presence is definitely made when he flops in your bed and gives you no leg room
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures, it's almost like you can sense his emotion from the pictures.
ReplyDeleteYeah Jamie thanks for the comment I sometimes fear that my camera and my dog are the stars not my photo taking ability.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable. My dog wont stay outside that long in the snow. Hes a chihuahua mix so hes little feet get cold. I really liked your first picture of him stalking his prey! You captured it very well!
ReplyDeleteThat is the coolest dog! That last photo with the snow on his nose is awesome. I like the angle! It reminds me of my dog. He likes to shove his face in the snow then he looks at me as if I asked him a question and cocks his head to the side a little. Then he takes off as fast as he can. Very nice picture!
ReplyDeleteJohn, I like the first photo. Very neat how the you caught the snow flaring up in the photo as well. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteExactly, the action of the snow in motion is super!
